TyliaFinance is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you. We collect only what the App needs to work, we never sell it, and we never use it for advertising. This page summarizes our data practices in plain language. For the complete legal terms, please see our Privacy Policy.
Key commitments: Your financial data is not sold to third parties. Your data is not used for tracking or advertising. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

What "Financial Info" Means
Financial information in the App consists entirely of data you choose to enter yourself: salary, budget categories, loan details, investment holdings, and retirement planning inputs. This data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase, encrypted at rest, and isolated to your account through database-level Row Level Security.
Section 3
Data We Do Not Collect
We intentionally do not collect certain categories of data. The App has no technical means to access:
- Your location, contacts, photos, videos, or audio
- Files on your device, calendar, SMS, or call logs
- Health or fitness information
- Web browsing or search history
- Your bank account numbers, routing numbers, or credit card numbers
- Your Social Security number or government-issued identification
- Real credit bureau scores or credit reports
Section 4
How Data Is Shared
Your financial data is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing. The limited data sharing described below exists only to make the App function.
- Anonymized crash and usage data is shared with Sentry (error monitoring) and PostHog (product analytics). This data contains no identifiable financial information.
- Ticker symbols only are sent to Yahoo Finance to fetch current stock prices. No personal or financial profile data is included in these requests.
- Aggregated financial summary data (Premium tier only) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI-powered insights. No individually identifying information (name, email) is included, and the data is not retained by Anthropic after processing.
- Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives only anonymous purchase identifiers and has no access to your financial data.
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment card information.
Section 5
Your Controls
You remain in control of your data at all times:
- View your data: All of your financial data is visible to you in the App at any time.
- Export your data: You can export a complete copy of your financial data as a structured JSON file from the Settings screen.
- Correct your data: You can update or correct any entry directly in the App.
- Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen. All financial data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
- Manage subscriptions: Cancel or change your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google account settings.
